Pocket-Sized Dante is Here!

June 3rd, 2008 Seth Killian

Devil May Cry 3D arrives today for your phone, available to anyone on Verizon.  He may be spoiling demons’ days in miniature, but I think fans of the series will be amazed at the faithful translation of the DMC action to the small screen and the sheer amount of content.

The Rebellion sword and his trusty pistols Ebony and Ivory are both in effect, as well as various Devil Arms. If idle talk and a tiny screenshot don’t convince you, however, perhaps the relatively gigantic size of the game will leave you impressed: the whopping 1.3 megs (whopping for a mobile game), gets you 50 missions and 20 floors of rendered full 3D action in “Challenge Mode.”

That’s enough to put this well past “my flight was delayed and I need something to do” and into “Um… this is a real game!” with plenty to keep explorers, button-mashers, and combo-masters busy for a looong time.

Check it out on your Verizon new releases ASAP.

Hit the jump for the full press release-y goodness…

Resident Evil: Genesis Now Irradiating N. American Crania

March 12th, 2008 Seth Killian

Do you find regular-sized Resident Evil to be entirely too big? Then consider our new Resident Evil: Genesis, which fits neatly inside your pocket (unless you have one of those bag phones owned by all of 1985’s coolest guys).

Resident Evil: Genesis is an all new zombie-hunting adventure that returns the player to the frightening events that introduced the world to the Umbrella Corporation. It begins in a crumbling mansion overrun with zombies and other horrific preternatural mutations (not as horrific as the phrase “horrific preternatural mutations,” however). As one of the last remaining survivors of the elite S.T.A.R.S. police unit, the player must unravel devious puzzles and survive the deadly creatures armed only with their wits and whatever weapons they can find.

The completely objective Midori Yuasa (President, Capcom Interactive, Inc.) says “The Resident Evil franchise has a long and storied history with Capcom. Resident Evil: Genesis delivers on the promise of thrilling, frightening and exciting gameplay that has become the hallmark of the series.”

Even people that don’t have their rents paid by this game think it’s pretty sweet. Resident Evil: Genesis scored an “A” on 1UP.com and a 7.8/10 on IGN. The wireless debut for the iconic survival horror series is currently available on most major North American carriers. Click here to check out a few screens.
