Using assets from the complete game, Nintendo has recreated an entire Zack & Wiki level as a free flash demo! While not as supremely awesome as Wii-ing your way through the level (Z&W has the most–and most unique–Wiimote interactions of any game I’ve ever played), the demo does give you an excellent introduction to the game’s unique brand of interactive puzzle solving.
Here’s what you do:
1) Head over to their Zack & Wiki site and chose your language.
2) Hit the gameplay “Gameplay” tab.
3) Click “Play a demo level.”
4) Profit.
If you’ve decided to ignore all of the amazing reviews for this game, you owe it to yourself to at least check out this demo!

Ut-oh:
The multiplayer demo for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is temporarily being removed from the PlayStation Network in order to address issues that have come to light. We will be working overtime to correct the issue and expect to upload a new version to the PlayStation Network as soon as possible that accurately reflects the incredible online features of the game. For those of you who have already downloaded the demo, the servers are being taken down until the new version is ready to go. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and your interest in Lost Planet! Stay tuned.

Head over to the official Sony Playstation Store to check out a frrrrreeeeee demo of the Harvey Birdman hilarity for your PSP. For those of you new to the store, you head over there and download to your PC, then shoot it over to your PSP via memory stick, USB cable, or some kind of wireless magicks that I don’t really understand. The full-featured demo contains an entire court session (someone has stolen Harvey’s furniture), representing about half of the game’s first case.
Relatedly, gaming historians are excited to note that Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law is the first non-Sony game ever offered at the Playstation store, so be a part of thrilling internet history and dl yours today.

We’re happy to announce that Lost Planet: Extreme Condition on PlayStation3 will be offering a free multiplayer online demo later TODAY, February 7, 2008. That’s today, as in… today. The demo features the Pirate Fortress and will have both Elimination (aka “deathmatch”) and Team Elimination game modes. For reasons known only to top Capcom scientists, the free demo supports only 8 players, but don’t worry—the full game will still let you revel in the glory of 16 slot multiplayer.
The full PS3 version of the game includes the PS3 exclusive new unlockable character Luka, all the added characters from the PC version of the game (Frank West, Joe, and Mega Man), all four game modes, and every Lost Planet map ever made. This definitive Lost Planet: Extreme Condition PS3 package goes on sale at retail starting February 26th.
Update: It’s now live and available for download in the PSN Store!

That’s right kids, you heard it here first: The Devil May Cry 4 demo you’ve heard about will be up on XBox Live and PlayStation Network this Thursday, January 24, 2008. We’re told to expect it up on XBox Live at 2am PST, and between 2 and 3pm PST on PlayStation Network. Europe will see the demo go live on January 31st.
Upside: this demo is actually fun.
Downside: While there will be plenty of devil-bringification and even a pretty sweet boss battle against this guy (boss battles are definitely a major highlight of the full game), it is just a demo, and only scratches the surface of the DMC4 fun. Even if I weren’t shilling shamelessly for Capcom, I’d still have to say this is probably the best Devil May Cry ever.
Check it out Thursday, and read on for more details about the demo, and of course pick up the full game, available February 5th. Read the rest of this entry »

Using the magic of flash, the wizards at Capcom have brought you this amazing “Mock Trial” demo. Yes, the demo is so cool that it actually gets its own name. What does the demo do? It offers you a feature-complete recreation of the first part of case one in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Yes, you’re playing the real game.
Better still, using the embed code found HERE, you can slap the demo on to any webpage yourself. Just c+p the code and you’re good. Show your Ace Attorney colors and let your friends and enemies experience the courtroom hijinx as Apollo Justice uses his chords of steel and learns his legal chops.
[note- if you aren’t hearing sound from the very start, just give it a second to finish loading]
