#3: It’s the New #1

March 4th, 2008 Seth Killian

The chart comes from Matt Matthew’s The Rating Rankings article over at Next-Gen, according to which Capcom pulls in at a healthy #3 overall.

According to my own analysis, we’re secretly #1, since everyone knows Final Fantasy fanboys don’t count, and Nintendo is more like a force of nature than an actual publisher. I dunno if this is quite the last word on the subject, but certainly an interesting read. You can find more discussion of this article over at the always-juicy Neo-Gaf forums.

yeah Capcom is #1, SCEA has never released any really good titles. and I’m surprised Square-Enix is not on that chart. Eidos and Konami should be higher up though, especially with Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and the upcoming sequel being the best multiplayer FPS games ever. I would like a Resident Evil 6 to play like R6Vegas, character creation, customization, FPS controls, cover feature, and squad-based, except with bioweapons instead of terrorists, haha.
