Street Fighter IV rocks AOU 2008!

February 14th, 2008 Seth Killian

Capcom AOU boothSeth Killian here, checking in from what’s proven to be a last-minute excursion to Tokyo to check out Capcom’s booth at this year’s AOU Show. Held on the outskirts of Tokyo, this is a major gamer festival, the arcade world’s version of Tokyo Game Show/E3/Games Convention. Abusing my Capcom staff powers, I snuck into the show early to grab some photos of our booth before the show officially gets underway. Come with me (or check out our flickr set) and I’ll take you for a special Unity insider preview of the arcade show that will undoubtedly become known as “the first time the public was able to play street Fighter IV.”

AOU convention sign
Sure, that makes total sense.

What’s up next for the convention center after AOU? ROCK!

SFIV AOU cabinet network functions explained
Description of how the arcade machines cross-link with each other to find a new opponent from amidst a larger bank. It’s very surprising when it matches you with someone sitting right next to you–just like an American arcade.
