Random Stuff Lying Around the Office
January 9th, 2008 Seth KillianSince we don’t post eeeeelegal magazine scans and the Famitsu featuring the exciting new SFIV character hasn’t actually come out yet, it’s time instead for an exciting installment of [echoing announcer voice on] “Random Stuff Lying Around the Office,” where we bring you up-close and personal with the promotional trinkets that light our days and fill our nights. This episode is brought to you courtesy of Chris’s mighty phone cam.
First up is a sweet new Devil May Cry 4 art book. It’s hardbound and full of goodness showing how the world of DMC4 goes from concept art to fully-rendered models. Here’s a scan of the cover, as well as a couple of sample pages here and here for you to drool over.
Next we have a Devil May Cry 4 poster. It’s a lot like the art book, if the book was one page long, 10x as big, and not actually bound. Anyway, great image, frame-worthy even.
Remember all the bell-ringery in Zack & Wiki? Here we have a little commemorative Z+W bell. Big ups for being generally cute and the awesome metal eye-patch pirate bunny on top. Thumbs down for functionality–the bell sounds pretty bad if you actually ring it, due to the little Zack and Wiki faceplate which messes up the tone (never let it be said we shy away from hard realities here on the Capcom blog).
Finally, it’s a nicely done fan from Okami. Check out both sides, a closeup on Amaterasu, and our own Chris “Lost” Tou, who I think it’s clear he might have made a delightfully coy geisha had he just worked a little harder in finishing school.

I see the Lego Hardballer! yay
Damn it. You know it too well!
Well, I have been deemed THE (one and only) Capcom Stalker. haha! I would just like to see it in person.
How (where, how much, is it even possible) to get that Okami fan???
My understanding is that the fan is a prototype for swag that might be given away with Okami Wii. I’m told there was something similar actually released (or given away) in Japan, but this is the first time I’ve seen this. Also you probably can’t tell from these low-res shots, but there’s actually some ornate carving on the wooden fan blades (or whatever they’re called) as well.
Cool piece.
So, we will eventually have a chance to get one?
Dunno
I know they are around someplace in Japan, but it was just one of several possibilities for promotional Okami Wii items. They may end up going with something else, or you may see some fans. I’m sure it will be something pretty good though–we’ve been on a promo hot streak lately.
