Capcom Widgets are GO!

December 17th, 2007 Seth Killian

Behold! Fresh from the R+D skunkworks, we present to you a bevy of Capcom-tastic widgets. “What’s a widget?” you might ask. Think of it as a friendly little buddy that hangs out on your desktop and drops interesting + useful info. We’ve got widgets to update you on the latest release dates for your favorite Capcom games, update you on the newest updates to THIS VERY BLOG, and one to help you search Capcom domains for specific information.

If your desktop is like a happy neighborhood bar where you spend a lot of time hanging out, the Capcom widgets are kind of like a little group of Cliff Clavins that sit on the corner stool. Only they’re better than a real Clavin, because they only speak when you ask them questions. Just head over to widgets.capcom.com, click on whatever strikes your fancy, and follow the simple instructions to make a happy home for your new virtual friends. If you’ve already got some widgets installed, it’ll be even easier. You OWE it to yourself to have the latest info on whatever inanity we’re posting here, right?! Now get clicking!

Belay that. These aren’t widgets, these are Microsoft Gadgets. Big difference, as Widgets are on an entirely different OS; Mac. So it should be noted that these “Gadgets” are for windows vista only users.

Hey Shawn. Not sure if you’re talking about your own how-to or the blog post above, but ours are widgets based on Yahoo technology, and Yahoo does actually call them “widgets.” Ours work on the Yahoo engine, which installs on windows (vista, XP, and even 2000) as well as mac.

Oh ok, cool. Well I can’t get them running on my Mac. I’ve tried everything I know. I’m using OS 10.5 Leopard. Here’s my thread on how to make your own Capcom widgets using Safari in Leopard.
