Mega Man 20th Anniversary Party!
November 20th, 2007 Seth KillianThe Mega Man 20th Anniversary Party went down this past weekend (Nov 18th) at Sunshine City hall in Ikebukuro Tokyo. The birthday candle blow-out on the main stage brought Inafune-san together with Mega Man artists to celebrate the 20th anniversary, where they all sang “Happy Birthday” to the Blue Bomber.
A complete collection of all Mega Man (well, Rockman) games were there as well, and not just on display but actually available to play. There were also historical displays, featuring the packaging for all of the games, as well as additional artwork for everything from the original “FC Rockman” through to “Rockman Star Force 2.” Of course, it wouldn’t be a Japanese fan event without a bunch of cool merchandise. The store was mobbed from the moment the doors opened, and by noon, they were completely sold out.
