Tournament Time! UK’s “Battle of Destiny, the Road to Evolution!”

June 4th, 2008 Seth Killian

2008 is truly the return of the fighting game, and the world’s warriors have begun cracking their collective knuckles.

The diehards at the UK’s Neo Empire have teamed up with Capcom Europe and EVO to put on the “Battle of Destiny, the Road to Evolution” tournament, where Europe’s very best will duke it out in order to select their top 4 players. The European champions will then be sent on to compete against the best from around the entire globe in the EVO Championship Series world finals, in Las Vegas.

The action takes place on July 26th and 27th in London Metropolitan University’s Rocket Complex, and will feature the continent’s best competition on games including Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Capcom vs SNK 2, and Hyper Street Fighter II Anniversary Edition.

The event will also be the UK public’s first chance to get hands-on with the new Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, so it’s truly a “can’t miss” event for any fighting game fans.

Awesomeness…

I’ve never been to a fighting game tournament but I would LOOOOVE to attend this one. Fortch/Unfortch, I’ll be going to Egypt during that time to visit family.

UGH!!! Such coolness ahead and such little time and money.

HALP!

Unbelievable!

That sure is some brilliant news for the UK SF and fighting game fans. How did they manage to get CAPCOM into the boat for that?
Anyway, that’s one sure thing to check out.

lol
