But I've seen side-by-side videos, and a few games in action, that I could not tell the difference between the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Namely, Devil May Cry 4, Burnout Paradise, Call of Duty 4, and Grand Theft Auto IV (it's the year of fours!!!!). I'm pretty sure the point of installs is to make the game load faster, and from what I heard about Devil May Cry 4, the PS3 version loads only slightly faster than the Xbox 360 version. Doing the math, it seems the PS3 NEEDS mandatory installs for its "bigger" games to make the load times bearable. Granted, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the case. I think Sony got a little TOO confident in releasing Blu-Ray on a console so early... thus why the PS3 was so expensive at first as well. ^^;; (Of course, I'm an anti-Sony fanboy, so, you can take what I said with a grain of salt if you want.) It looks simply awesome, but this time can you PLEASE not gimp the PS3 version by including a mandatory install. All installs are welcome as long as they are optional.
