Nothing says “zombie apocalypse” like a one-armed bandit

Resident Evil pachislotCapcom Japan’s Investor Relations group has been very busy this week, releasing all sorts of interesting financial data and new business information. Amongst the torrent of data comes word of a new Resident Evil-flavored Pachislot machine, developed by Yamasa. Pachislot is essentially a slot machine, but these usually live in the neon-exploded depths of Japan’s approximately two trillion sketchy Pachinko parlors. Capcom has done a few Pachislot machines in the past, including the DMC 3 and Onimusha 3 machines that are on display in the Capcom Tokyo offices.

What kind of a machine is this? I’m not familiar with it.

That woman (pictured in the article) is 41?! She barely looks 12.

LOL @:

“Gambling is illegal in Japan, but pachinko and pachislot are not technically considered gambling because users can only win merchandise such as food, beer, shampoo or small appliances.

Winners can exchange these items for cash at designated establishments nearby, and the goods often find their way back to the pachinko parlors.”

That sounds like fun. You need actual timing & skill for this instead of just lazily pulling the lever.

Thanks for the article.

Man, I’d love to have one of those in my own personal arcade… I’d put it right next to my Gun Survivor machine, or something like that. XD
