Wanna Make a Capcom Game?
May 22nd, 2008 Seth KillianDuring his whirlwind European tour, Adam Boyes (Capcom’s US Director of Production) sat down with gamesindustry.biz to talk about what he looks for in a development partner, from the mix of studio talents right down to pitching the idea itself.
This is a bit “games biz” insider-y (shocking from gamesindustry.biz!), but if you want to see what making games is REALLY all about, it’s solid gold. Check it out here!

It’s good to see Mr. Boyes likes new and exciting ideas… I’m pretty sure I’m chock full of ‘em. ^^ A lot of the stuff he said I also heard at an IGDA meeting I had before (there was even someone from Big Rooster, the company developing Talisman before it got put on hold), like about being assertive and standing behind your ideas.
I really wish Capcom Production Studio 8 (or something similar) were still around… I’d so love to work at Capcom as a designer, but the way things stand now, it seems as though I’d have to go overseas or work for another developer and hope it gets published through Capcom.
